Account Deletion vs. Partial Data Deletion

This page details Full Account Deletion (deleting your complete account and credentials). If you only want to delete specific data — such as an individual meter or leaving a family group — without deleting your account, please visit our Data Deletion Page.

Account deletion cannot be undone

Once your account deletion request is processed, your login credentials, profile, and associated data are permanently removed. This action is irreversible.

METHOD 1: Delete from the Meteredo App

Recommended

This method allows you to delete your account directly from within the Meteredo app:

  1. Open the Meteredo app.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Tap "Delete Account".
  4. A confirmation dialog will appear.
  5. Tap "Yes, Delete My Account" to confirm.

METHOD 2: Request Account Deletion by Email

Alternative: Request by Email

If you cannot or do not want to use the in-app deletion option (for example, if you have uninstalled the app or lost access to your device), you can request account deletion via email.

Click the button below to open your email application with a pre-filled deletion request:

If your device does not automatically open an email app, you can manually send an email with the following details:

  • Recipient: mubashir.support@gmail.com
  • Subject: Request Account Deletion
  • Body: Please delete my Meteredo account associated with the email address below:
Account email: [enter your account email here]
Processing Timeline

Email deletion requests will be processed within 30 days. Account deletion cannot be undone once completed.

What happens when you delete your account

Permanently Deleted

  • Your Firebase Authentication login credentials
  • Your user profile (name, email, phone number)
  • Your personal meters (which are private and not shared with family) and bills
  • Your family membership record
  • Your in-app notification history

Before you delete your account

Family ownership

If you are the owner of a family group, family ownership is automatically transferred to another family member before deletion, allowing existing family members to continue using shared meters normally.
