Delete Specific Data (Without Deleting Your Account)
Meteredo allows you to delete specific data, such as individual meters or family memberships, while keeping your Meteredo account active.
Partial Data Deletion allows you to remove specific meters, history records, or family links while keeping your sign-in account active. If you wish to delete your entire account and all profile credentials permanently, please visit our Account Deletion Page.
1. Deleting an Individual Meter
You can remove any meter you have created from your account at any time without affecting your overall Meteredo account:
- Open the Meteredo app.
- Go to the Meters tab or Home screen.
- Select the meter you want to remove to open its Meter Details.
- Tap the Delete / Remove Meter icon.
- Confirm deletion when prompted.
Effect: The selected meter and all historical readings attached to that meter are permanently removed from your account. Your user profile and any other meters remain completely intact.
2. Family Membership & Family Management
Meteredo provides precise controls for managing family groups without deleting user accounts:
A. Leaving a Family (Member)
If you are a member of a family group, you can leave the family at any time by going to Settings → Family → My Family and tapping Leave Family. Your account will revert to an individual account with your personal profile preserved.
B. Removing Members (Owner)
If you are the family owner, you can remove individual members from the family group by going to Settings → Family → My Family, tapping the options menu next to a member's name, and selecting Remove. The removed user's account remains active as an individual account.
The family owner has an option to remove or delete the family group only when there is exactly 1 member remaining in the family (the owner). If more than 1 member remains in the family, the option to remove the family is not available until other members have left or been removed.
3. Readings & Bills
Readings and bills cannot be deleted individually. When you delete a meter, all readings and bills associated with that meter are automatically deleted.
Note on Other Data: Meteredo does not maintain separate independent deletion options for general profile attributes (such as email address) without performing a account-level update or full account deletion.
